LPBC's National Learn to Row Day event is Saturday, June 2, 2018, at the Lincoln Park Boat House, on the South Lagoon (2341 N. Cannon Dr., Chicago, IL 60614).
Rowing is a lifelong, worldwide sport, and LPBC is excited to introduce novices to the sport. Our LTR Day sessions are 2 hours and 45 minutes long and will be taking place all day. Here's what to expect, if you participate:
-Instruction on the basics of the rowing stroke, on rowing machines.-Introduction to the parts of a boat, boat handling, and basic boat safety.-Time rowing on the water, on the South Lagoon, featuring beautiful views of downtown Chicago.-Pictures with your group and instructors.-An LPBC tote bag.-Information (including a 25% discount on our intro rowing lessons) on how to continue rowing!
In the next few screens, you will be asked for information on yourself and, if are signing up a group, everyone in your party.
This year, LPBC will try to offer juniors-specific group time slots. Which time slots these will be will be based on popularity. During these sessions, LTR Day participants will all be "juniors," which means high school and lower. If it is not possible for us to schedule juniors-specific times, under-18 participants will be scheduled into adult groups.
Please note that we require participants to be age 11 or older.
Once you have completed the form, expect to receive an email within the same week, confirming what group time slot you are placed in.
Closer to the event, you will receive another email with details on transportation and suggestions on what to bring and wear.
If you have questions, please reach out to LPBC Association Director Zach Hebert at email@example.com
We look forward to meeting you!
