DSA SF Event Form
Use this form to register an event with the chapter. This form can create events on the calendar(s), schedule tweets, and ask the Mobilizer Committee to help promote the event. Please read the descriptions carefully.

This form should be used by DSA SF members only. It should be reserved for events related to our chapter's ideological mission, and which will have chapter members in attendance.

Whatever you enter here becomes the location on the calendar event. Avoid extra formatting or text so that the location will display correctly on the map. When in doubt, just enter the address.

Promotion Options
Is this a members-only event? *
Choosing "Yes" will create your calendar event on the Private Calendar and your Facebook event in the DSA SF members group, if you've chosen those options. Choosing "No" will add your calendar event to the Public Calendar and make your Facebook event public.
Scheduled Twitter content
If you would like to schedule a Twitter post, enter the content of your tweet here. What you enter here will be posted verbatim to Twitter at the scheduled time. This form cannot do retweets, quote tweets, or threads. If you need one of those, don't use this field -- instead, reply to the email you receive after submitting and describe your needs. @ mentions will be automatically stripped to comply with Twitter's TOS; so @DSA_SF will show up as DSA_SF.

Is this event aimed at new members?
Checking YES will automatically add a 🐣 to the calendar event name and the note: "Great for first-time attendees! A facilitator will be available 15 minutes before the scheduled start time to orient new members" to the end of the description. Check this box ONLY if you're able to provide that accommodation.
