Edit Lab Access Grant Application
Thank you for applying for an access grant for the Northwest Film Forum Edit Lab.
Availability: Regular Lab hours are weekdays, 10:30 am-5:30 pm. Times may vary depending on workshop, holiday and screening schedules. The lab is not available weekdays June 25th-August 24th. If accepted, you can request date and time adjustments with us as the project moves forward.
Access grants are provided to non-commercial, no/low budget, mission aligned projects and artists as space is available. We define non-commercial as: you are not being paid to work on the project, and the project is not for promotional purposes for any entity. We do offer technical support to non-profits on occasion, but through specific partnerships with organizations.
Example of non-qualifying projects:
-You have been hired/contracted to make a video.
-You have volunteered to make a video for a cause or non-profit that is intended to be used for fundraising or promotional purposes by them.
Example of a potentially qualifying projects:
-You are making a low/no-budget short or feature fictional, documentary, experimental (or etc.) film, video, or art project.
-You are working on a reel or website to support your career or work.
-You are an artist learning new software or processes in support of a project.
-You have partnered (not been paid) with a nonprofit or cause to make a short artistic film that tells the story relating to their work or of members of their community.
