The GIC Learning Journey and Dialogue - Registration CLOSED
Since 1981, the Singapore government has managed the nation’s foreign reserves through its fund manager, GIC. Today, GIC is one of the world’s largest sovereign wealth funds, with well over US100B under management.

Yet, its history, contributions and investment portfolio is not known to many Singaporeans who are, in fact, beneficiaries of the returns from these investments through GIC’s contributions to the annual government budget. Healthcare, education, R&D and social security nets are examples of areas that are supported by these returns.

This event has two key objectives:

a) The Learning Journey gives an introduction to GIC – why and how it was founded, driven by a clear investment objective, and its role in securing the financial future for Singaporeans.

b) The Dialogue highlights GIC’s approach to navigating the volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous world of fund management and finance, guided by its set of core investing principles, with a focus on Media and ICT portfolio.
