TERTÖN SOGYAL FOUNDATIONS
All Rigpa students have equal opportunities to apply for grants to this fund, including those entrusted as teachers and practice holders who wish to deepen their personal spiritual path, such as through long-term retreats or studies.
All funds available have been donated by members of the Rigpa Sangha, in this spirit grant applicants are asked to make genuine efforts to raise funds from other sources prior to making a grant application.
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY BEFORE FILLING IN THE FORM- You can only apply for a grant one person at the time. Couples and groups need to each fill in a form individually.
- You can only apply for one event at the time.
- Grants will not be disbursed to individuals, only to the entities where the events take place.
- Applications cannot include personal costs such as travel etc.
- You need to apply at least 6 weeks before the start of an event and keep the deadlines of the grant applications in mind which are every first day of the month. Applications received after this deadline will not be processed during that month, and you may not receive a grant.
- Grant applications are not awarded after an event has taken place.
- Each application needs to be validated by a National Director or Senior Teacher in your country. If not, we will not be able to process your application.
- Please read each question carefully and answer accurately. The grant-making committee is not able to process your form with incomplete answers.
- When you apply for a grant for an event that takes place in LERAB LING, please make sure you follow these guidelines:
• Register on the Lerab Ling website for the event you want to attend and DO NOT PAY but notice how much the total costs of the event is including, event contribution, accommodation and meals. Lerab Ling is not able to refund any amount that has been paid ahead of the outcome of the Grant-making Committee.
• Leave a note in your registration that you are in the process of requesting a grant.
• If/when you receive an email that your grant approved, you have to send an email to registration@rigpa.org.
• The Lerab Ling Registration team will then let you know how much is left for you to pay.
- Keep in mind that the Grant-making committee consists of 12 people who live in different Rigpa countries. They may not know you, or your reference personally, so please be as complete and clear as you can when filling in your application.
- In general, grants will be limited to a maximum of 50% of the total amount required.
- When you submit this form you will receive a confirmation email. Please forward this immediately to grant.applications@terton-sogyal.org to complete your application process.
- If you are not a Rigpa Sangha member, please answer the questions as complete as possible and submit the form. We will contact you for more details if/when necessary.
You can always edit your answers by clicking the ‘edit form’ in the confirmation email you will receive. If you did not receive a confirmation email please look in your Spam box before contacting the team.
