Climate Plan Questionnaire
In 2014, Austin City Council set the ambitious target to reach net-zero community-wide greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. The Office of Sustainability led in creating a plan of action to achieve the net-zero goal, which was adopted and began implementation in 2015.

Since then, we’ve made progress in reducing community-wide emissions, despite rapid population growth and a growing GDP. And over the course of the last five years, things have changed — in terms of technology, cost, and feasibility. We also know that the rate of global warming is happening faster than we thought, so the need to lower emissions is more urgent than ever. It’s time to update and revise the 2015 Community Climate Plan based on where we are today.

We are seeking a diverse set of community members from all over Austin to engage with us on this effort. We need people who will help us create a comprehensive and equitable climate plan. In short, we need you!

If you are interested in getting involved, please complete this questionnaire to assist us with finding the best opportunities for you to make an impact.
