Dorrys Nominations – Art
It’s time for the 2019 Dorrys, a reader-selected celebration of achievement in performing, visual, and literary arts.

This year's awards celebrate exhibits and public art displays that opened between September 1, 2018 and August 31, 2019.

Since the awards are by, for, and about Law and Order Party readers, nominations are only open to current email subscribers. You’re invited to submit nominations in as many (or as few) categories as you wish.

Every nomination will be considered in the nomination phase. There is NO REASON at this stage to submit nominations more than once. The next round — actual voting — is when the votes get counted.

NOTE FOR ARTISTS/GALLERIES/etc: You are totally welcome to nominate yourself in as many categories as you feel worthy! But ONLY on one condition: that you also support other local people by nominating someone else in at least one other field.

From reader submissions, between 4 and 10 nominees in each category will be announced in October. Categories may be eliminated, added, or retitled to accommodate the quality of submissions. (A category could be eliminated or combined, for instance, if only two entries are nominated.)

Timeline

Nominations accepted until October 15

Finalists Announced / Voting Begins – October 17 – October 31 (11:59pm)

Winners will be announced online on Tuesday, November 12. There will be no live ceremony this year, but there will be a Dorrys reception happening at a later date.
