These free workshops are designed for teachers, community leaders and any other individuals who would like to spend an afternoon/evening learning how to design and create lightweight giant puppets for this spring’s parade. Each participant will leave with the resources and skills needed to lead their classroom, workplace, or group in the creation of giant puppets, masks, and costumes for the Appalachian Puppet Pageant. This workshop will be hands on and include cardboard sculpting, papier mache, giant puppet rigging, and more.
