Nu Eta Homeschool Honor Society Application
Thank you for your interest in the Nu Eta Homeschool Honor Society! We are looking forward to meeting you and to having your talents in the Nu Eta Chapter. Nu Eta members hold a position within the group and meet at least once a month to plan activities, serve their community, and socialize. The meeting times and days are determined yearly by group members. The current members have been meeting on Fridays at Bowie Church of Christ, 2518 Kenhill Drive, Bowie, MD 20715
Qualifications for membership:
Evidence of a qualifying test score
88 (CLT), 97 (CLT 10), 97 (CLT 8);
1200 (SAT), 1200 (PSAT) 1170 (PSAT 10), 1090 (PSAT 8/9 for a 9th grade student),
26 (ACT), 26 (Pre-ACT 10);
90% on a composite battery on the IOWA ITBS or ITED;
90% total battery (the score listed under the National PR-S or PR column) Stanford;
90% total score (listed under the NPR column) on the Terra Nova 2 (CAT 6) 2nd Edition nationally normed standardized achievement tests is required for membership. When taking the Iowa ITBS, IOWA ITED, Stanford or Terra Nova 2 (CAT 6) the complete battery must be taken. The basic and core will not be accepted for admission.
All scores must come from one test. No super scoring allowed.
Test scores must not be more than one year old.
A photo copy of the test scores sent from the testing agency is sufficient.
Transcript with evidence of a 3.5 or higher GPA based on a 4.0 scale. The GPA may include early admission college courses, co-op or support group homeschool class grades, or work supervised or directed by the homeschooling parent or teacher.
Two letters of recommendation:
The letters of recommendation must be mailed and received to complete this application. One of the recommendation may be the from the homeschooler's parent or guardian. The second should be from a teacher or another adult who can speak to the applicant’s leadership potential, academic achievement, or community service.

All items must be received by March 20, 2019 for the application to be considered complete.
Once your application has been received and accepted, you will be notified for an interview.
If you are accepted into Nu Eta, there are $25.00 yearly dues to maintain membership.
