We are an emerging network of volunteer mental health professionals, spiritual care providers, circle-keepers, and community builders supporting those most directly impacted by COVID, including, among others, low-income and impoverished individuals/families unable to access social supports, frontline workers (e.g. foodservice, healthcare, etc), and gig economy & contract workers whose livelihood has been diminished.

WHY THIS NETWORK?

This network is meant to provide relief to the above individuals and families, particularly in this IMMEDIATE moment in which uncertainty abounds and in which the supply and accessibility of such services is lessened and obscure. We are soliciting volunteers across a wide range of disciplines - from psychotherapists to yoga instructions - whom we will connect with individuals and families in need, being sourced from avenues including worker associations, community listservs, residential facilities, racial and social justice organizing groups, etc.

NOTE - You do not have to licensed to sign up as a volunteer. Providers of all stripes and certification levels are welcome!

HOW WILL IT WORK?

The process is fairly simple. Register as a volunteer by completing the form below and indicating your discipline, availability, and contact information. We will keep your information on file and connect you with participants, after which the parties can take communication offline to schedule one or multiple sessions. All meetings should occur via telephone or ZOOM - no in-person contact. Should the volunteer have additional capacity beyond the initial "match," they may sign up again reflecting new availability.

NOTE - We will only disseminate your contact information after a connection has been facilitated and agreed to by both parties. For mental health professionals concerned about liability, this is a purely volunteer service - no monetary exchange is involved and the sessions are meant to be mostly one-off. We will discuss this with you before facilitating connections!
