Getting ready to rebel: I'm interested in being part of an Extinction Rebellion Affinity Group
Affinity groups are one of the key structures in Extinction Rebellion. The basic idea is that when you are engaged in civil disobedience you need a support structure and some clear roles.

If you plan to take part in direct action, it is worth getting involved in an affinity group beforehand to build your relationships. They are usually made up of 8 to 12 people, ideally 3 or 4 of those are willing to be arrested, with others taking supporting roles such as legal observer, first aid, welfare and general support.

Brighton XR would like to provide people with an opportunity to join affinity groups. If you would like to be in one, please add your name here. Someone from the organisation working group will get in touch about either joining an existing group or forming a new one.

Brighton Extinction Rebellion Local Group will store your data in a file with restricted access and will not pass this information on to other organisations.
