AERI aims to advance scholarship in visual arts education; enhance the capacity of emerging and practicing visual art scholars; promote diversity in research issues, questions, contexts and methodologies; and encourage civil criticality and sustained engagement with scholarship in visual arts education.
The annual AERI symposium engages symposium attendees in scholarly conversations that advance research-informed perspectives, practices, and policies in the field of visual art education. The symposium features peer-reviewed paper presentations, doctoral research pecha kucha poster presentations, panel discussions, and book chats. The tenth annual AERI symposium will be held at The Pennsylvania State University.
