If the stream is not labelled on maps, please call it "Unnamed Tributary of ____" and in the blank, use the next larger stream, creek, or river into which your stream flows.

This is to help us assure that we are looking at the correct location. Please provide the names of two roads that intersect near your stream study site. Example: Loch Raven Boulevard at Taylor Ave.

GPS Coordinates- Latitude *
Obtain GPS coordinates by locating your stream site using a GPS device or online tool of your choice, such as Google Maps, Maryland.FieldScope.org, StreamHealth.maryland.gov, etc. Please enter as Decimal Degrees (ex. 32.19876). Any reading for a latitude in Maryland should begin with 3 (ex. 3X.XXXXX)

Your Stream Study Site Name *
This is to help us identify schools' study sites. It is best to follow the recommended naming regimen, especially when your data is entered in FieldScope with data from many other schools and other sources. Your Site Name should begin with the letters "ERMS" (for "Explore and Restore Maryland Streams"), followed by your school name, followed by anything your students want to call the site. Example 1: Smith Elementary students want to call their site KidsCoolStream. Their Site Name would then be: ERMS Smith Elem KidsCoolStream. Example 2: Westmount Regional High School's data collected by their AP Environmental Science class: ERMS Westmount HS APEnviSci.
