Dear Community Resident:
Each year, in accordance with the New York City Charter, all 59 NYC Community Boards are required to submit recommendations for NYC’s capital and expense budgets for the upcoming fiscal year.
Community members are invited to participate in the budget process by suggesting a new city service or capital project.
Note: A capital project generally has a value of $35,000 or more and a “useful life” of at least five years. Requests for ongoing programs and regular city services such as street signs, building inspections, parks maintenance, road repair or tree pruning, for example, should be directed to the Community Board office as a routine service delivery request. However, if the suggested budget item is for a new program, service, or capital project, please provide the information requested below. For a full list of budget requests submitted to the City for this past fiscal year, please see CB14’s District Needs Statement on our website: www.cb14brooklyn.com/city-budget/community-budget-request-fy-2025.
Recommendations will be considered at Community Board 14’s public hearing on community budget recommendations for fiscal year 2025, which will take place on Monday, September 11, 2023 at 6:30 PM, in person at 1625 Ocean Avenue. Meeting updates will be posted on www.cb14brooklyn.com.
If you would like to obtain a paper copy of this survey to mail, fax, or email to the Community Board 14 office, you will find a download and instructions at www.cb14brooklyn.com/city-budget/community-budget-request-fy-2025.
Thank you for your participation.
