Join us in Culemborg on 21th April 2023 and discover the local energy community utility company Thermo Bello and energy community Vrijstad Energie. Thermo Bello is the first Dutch energy community having developed their own district heating system. Taking a role as heat producer, heat supplier and distribution system operator they own their own heating system in the neighbourhood of EVA-Lanxmeer. We will take a look at the heat production system while learning about the history and organization of this citizen company.
Energy community Vrijstad Energie has developed a public solar carport parking lot with charging station. The system incorporates innovations such as smart charging in solar hours, vehicle-to-grid, and preventing cars from unnecessarily occupying parking spots while being fully charged. We will take a look at the charging station while learning the details from the energy community.

- This tour is conceived for municipalities and local energy cooperatives. Cities from Span, Italy, Estonia, Romania and Serbia are particularly encouraged to apply.

- SCCALE 20 30 50 project will cover roundtrip travel, meals and 1 night accomodation costs for participants.
