Lynbrook Speech & Debate Summer Camp 2024
We are super excited to work with your students and helping them become the best speakers and debaters! 

This year, Lynbrook High School's nationally-ranked speech and debate team is hosting its 16th annual IN-PERSON speech and debate summer camp for students going into grades between 4-9 next year. 

Due to construction on the Lynbrook campus over the summer, this year's Camp will be held at: West Valley Christian Alliance Church (WVCAC) 3003 Moorpark Ave. San Jose, CA 95128.

The camp will run weekdays from July 29th through August 9th, excluding the weekends. Monday, July 29 through Friday, August 02 will focus on Speech. Monday, August 05 through August 09 will focus on Debate.

Mondays through Thursdays, Camp will be from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM. Mondays through Thursdays will be lessons and activities taught and conducted by our experienced coaches and top-ranked speakers and debaters. 

On both Fridays, the Camp will run from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Fridays will be a Camp tournament where your child will have a chance to implement their new skills and public speaking strategies and win gift cards!

The pricing for the Camp is:

Regular Price: $450 

Returning Student: $400

The above payments are for signups before July 28th. For any registrations after this date, please email us at lynbrookspeechdebate@gmail.com 

Cancellation: Cancellations before July 9th will result in a full refund. Cancellations between July 10th and July 28th will result in a half refund. Cancellations after July 28th will not warrant a refund. For all cancellations, please email us at: lynbrookspeechdebate@gmail.com.

How many years of speech and/or debate experience does your child have? *
This can include middle school speech and debate programs, previous summer camps or classes, or any other applicable experience.
If you have no experience, that's perfectly fine! This camp is perfect for all new and experienced students! This is only to help us decide what classes to place students in.
Do you grant Lynbrook Speech and Debate permission to photograph your child? Photos will only be taken in group settings and will only be used to document camp activities *
Permission to Secure Necessary Treatment *
In the event of an emergency, I authorize Lynbrook Speech and Debate and Lynbrook High School officials to secure treatment from any licensed hospital, physician, and/or medical personnel, and/or any treatment deemed necessary for my child’s/ward’s immediate care and I agree that I will be responsible for payment of any and all medical services required.
Liability Waiver *
As a participant of the Lynbrook Speech and Debate summer camp program, I agree to assume the full risk of any injuries, including death, damages or loss regardless of severity, which my child/ward may sustain as a result of participating in any and all activities connected with or associated with this camps. I agree to waive and relinquish all claims I or my child may have as a result of participating in the camp against Lynbrook Speech and Debate, Lynbrook High School, WVCAC, and their directors, officers, trustees, agents, servants and employees. I do hereby fully release and discharge Lynbrook Speech and Debate, Lynbrook High School, WVCAC, the summer camp program, and its directors, officers, trustees, agents, servants and employees from any and all claims from injuries, including death, damage or loss which I or my child may have or which may accrue to me on account of my participation. I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless and defend Lynbrook Speech and Debate, Lynbrook High School, WVCAC, the summer camp program, and their respective directors, officers, trustees, agents, servants and employees from any and all claims from injuries, including death, damages and losses sustained by me or my child/ward or arising out of, connected with, or in any way associated with the activities of the summer camp program.
