Colorado has accepted the challenge to decrease Chronic Absenteeism in half over the next five year! Are you up to the challenge?

The Colorado Department of Education challenges Colorado LEA's to embrace a bold yet achievable goal: cut chronic absenteeism rates from pandemic highs in half over the next five years. Making progress will require not just goals, but strategic actions, a long-term commitment, and a willingness to reassess and revise plans or approaches that are not effective.

Schools or districts who join will:

Be named/highlighted on CDE website
Commit to sharing practices with CDE that can be highlighted
Have access to resources to help communicate about attendance
Receive tools and support to analyze data
