Thank you for your interest in serving as a Junior Program Committee (JPC) member for MSR 2027.
The MSR Junior PC provides early-career researchers with an opportunity to gain experience in peer review, receive mentoring and reviewer training, and contribute to the MSR research community.
The Junior PC is intended primarily for researchers who have not yet served on the technical/research-track Program Committee of a major international Software Engineering conference. Junior PC members will participate alongside regular PC members in the MSR Research Track review process, including author responses and online discussions. Each paper will receive two reviews from regular PC members and one from a Junior PC member.

Responsibilities
Junior PC members will be expected to review 1–3 papers, submit detailed and rigorous reviews on time, and actively participate in online discussions. They must follow the ethical and confidentiality standards of peer review, must not solicit sub-reviews, and must not use Generative AI tools to prepare their reviews.
Who Can Apply?
The Junior PC is open to PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, early-career faculty members, and industry practitioners holding PhDs with research experience in software engineering or mining software repositories, particularly those who have not previously served on the main/technical research-track PC of conferences such as ICSE, FSE, ASE, MSR, ICSME, or SANER.
Junior PC members will be selected based on research experience, while also striving for diversity and broad representation.
Thank you for your interest in contributing to the MSR 2027 Junior Program Committee. Eligible postdoctoral researchers and early-career faculty members may also be considered for invitations to serve on the Technical Track Program Committee.
