McGill's Black Youth Outreach Program 2022-2023: Executive Position Descriptions

The role of the Vice President of External Affairs (Community Outreach)(1) is to:

(a)Act as representative of the Club to the community within and outside of the University.
(b)Be responsible for developing healthy relations with student and community organizations within and outside McGill University, and particularly those in the Montreal area.
(c)Be responsible for promoting the image of the Club to the community within and outside McGill University.
(d)Be responsible for establishing sponsorship networks

The role of the Vice President Social (2) is to:

(a)Be responsible for promoting the club on social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
(b)Be responsible for creating and maintaining a club website

The role of the Events Coordinator (2) is to:
(a)Lead the organization of events throughout the school year
(b)Coordinate meetings with club members to discuss budgeting and other event ideas
(c)Find venues for events
(d)Design and implement an effective marketing strategy for events

The Vice President Internal (1) is to:
(a)Be responsible for communication within the EC and with the Students’ Society of McGill University.
(b)Maintain the membership list of the club/oversee incoming emails & form responses.
(c) Maintain a bi-weekly listserv
(d)Oversee and coordinate the programming activities and events of the club.
(e)Taking minutes at general meetings
(f)Help with booking rooms for events

The Treasurer(1):
(a)Oversee and coordinate funding for the programming activities and events of the club.
(b)Be responsible for the collection of membership fees.
(c)Co-sign all financial transactions with the President.
(d)Ensure the funding and financial stability of the club.
(e)Keep track of all financial transactions and receipts in order to prepare the biyearly audits for the SSMU.
