Helloooo Local MCs,

We are trying something different this year for the finale of the CFCU Summer Concert Series. We'd love to have you give it a shot.


WHAT IS THIS BATTLE?
Well, it's two-fold. Right here, right now, if you apply, a jury will select four finalist MCs to come perform three songs and participate in a two round cypher at Lot10 on a date TBA in August. That will be filmed and flipped into dope content. We will share these videos for people to vote online for the winning MC. The winning MC will open on the night of the Battle of the Bands.

On Thursday, September 7th from 6-9pm we will host a Battle of the Bands where three finalist bands will perform 20 minute sets.

OKAY. SO WE PERFORM, COOL. WHAT ELSE DO WE WIN?
We are currently working really hard to create really special prize packages for both the winning band and winning MC to empower you to continue pursuing your craft.

Fill out the application below and share your best with us. We will take it from there and reach out once we have identified four finalists. The deadline for this application is EXTENDED UNTIL AUGUST 1. Please note, if you are part of a group, you must apply as an individual.

WAIT. HOW WILL THE CYPHER WORK?
Good question. The four finalists will be invited to perform 3 song sets. Then the finalists will participate in a live cypher where the first round you'll know the beat in advance and the second round, you will not.

WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?
We thought this would be a fun way to not only engage our audiences but also create new fun opportunities for local artists. Emphasis on fun. We want this be an exciting way to highlight up and coming talent and also have you walk away with good content and tools to use for your endeavors.
