This is a 5-week musical series that empowers songwriters to explore their songwriting process while expanding their artistic potential under the guidance of a seasoned professional. For emerging to intermediate and advanced songwriters who have written at least 5-10 songs and want consistent weekly growth, skill development, we offer a smaller, more intimate feedback environment in person in a studio setting.
In short, you will write 4 songs in 5 weeks and learn a ton about yourself and your relationship to your craft along the way!
APPLICATION SUBMISSION DEADLINE: There is no application deadline per se as we accept applications until the workshop is filled (maximum 6 participants per round). Applications are reviewed on a first come first serve basis and acceptance is primarily determined by songwriting experience, demos/releases and overall fit with our programs and community.
WAITLIST & ADDITIONAL ROUND POSSIBILITY: In the event that we receive more qualified applications than we have space for, we will begin a waitlist. If there is sufficient interest and availability, we may open a concurrent second round. Applicants on the waitlist will be notified as soon as possible if this occurs.
FINANCIAL COMMITMENT: The full workshop amount of $500+GST is required to secure your spot once you’ve been notified of acceptance (please read our Cancellation Policy at the bottom of this page on our website: https://yaletownrecords.com/service-info), late cancels 7 days or less before the workshop start date are non-refundable.
