If you are a UK tax payer, you can make every £1 you give – or have given in the past – worth 25p more, under the Gift Aid scheme, as it allows Batten Disease Family Association CIO (BDFA) {Registered Charity No 1205650} to reclaim tax you have already paid to HM Revenue on eligible donations. This means that you can make an even bigger difference at no extra cost to you.
The extra income we claim through the Gift Aid scheme will help provide the family support services and to develop our other activities as we represent the families who are suffering from the 13 variants of Batten Disease and with the right funding to work on educating professionals to be aware of the Disease and to aid diagnosis.
To make your donations under Gift Aid, simply complete your name and address below, review the gift aid wording and then tick the box to say that BDFA can reclaim Gift Aid on your donations and we’ll do the rest. If you pay Income Tax at the higher or additional rate and want to receive the additional tax relief due to you, you must include all your Gift Aid donations on your Self-Assessment tax return or ask HM Revenue & Customs to adjust your tax code.
At the bottom (to comply with current regulations) please let us know how we may keep you up to date with our efforts. Items marked with * have to be completed please to permit claims to be made and to easily make contact if HMRC dispute the details. If you have any questions please email
