Prime Time to Unionize Amazon - Week of Action!

Workers at the largest Amazon Airhub in the country, known as KCVG, are fighting for a union. Their demands of a $30/hr starting wage, 180 hours paid time off, and a union rep at every disciplinary meeting would raise the bar for all workers.

Workers Strike Back is organizing a national week of action to coincide with Amazon's "Prime Day." Last year, Amazon raked in $12 billion in profits from Prime Day on the basis of hyper-exploitation of Amazon workers. The mandatory overtime means workers are pushed to their limits, putting themselves and their coworkers in danger. Prime Day underscores how urgently Amazon workers need a union; come to the Amazon Spheres on Saturday, July 15th at noon to say: it's Prime Time to Unionize Amazon!

Fight for Rent Control!
Councilmember Kshama Sawant, who lead the way on first the $15/hr minimum wage, then the Amazon Tax, and dozens of renters rights victories, is bringing forward rent control legislation in the Seattle City Council. It's more urgent than ever: inflation is sky rocketing and rents are through the roof.

Strong rent control would provide essential protection for communities of color and LGBTQ people who are being pushed out of the city in the name of mega-profits for corporate landlords. Sign the petition HERE!

Public Comment to the City Council on Tuesday, June 6 at 2 PM - Speak against the regressive, right-wing drug possession bill!

The nation's fentanyl crisis has reached tragic and frightening proportions. But half a century of the failed war on drugs has proven one thing; criminalization of addiction will absolutely not address the nation's raging opioid crisis!

We need to speak up and demand that the Democrats vote NO on this bill tomorrow!
