The Jack Walker Scholarship, 2023-2024
The Jack Walker Scholarship supports students who have an interest in the founding of the United States.

Criteria: Applicants must:
1. complete 12 credits in History, including History 201 (United States, 1492-1877), and at least one course numbered 300 and above
2. have an overall GPA of at least a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
3. submit a 500-word essay on a topic of your choice that relates to the history of the United States, 1763-1801.

Selection and Notification: Decisions awarding assistance and determining the form and amount of aid are made by the Merit and Scholarship Committee of the Department of History after careful evaluation of all applications. All applicants will be notified as soon as possible of the Committee’s decision(s).

Deadline: February 28, 2023 at 11:59pm.

Names and email addresses of two faculty members in the History Department acquainted with your academic work, and who you have asked to write a letter of recommendation in support of your application. These two History faculty members should send their letters of recommendation to the Administrative Coordinator before February 28 at midnight.
