The Jack Walker Scholarship supports students who have an interest in the founding
of the United States.
Criteria: Applicants must:
1. complete 12 credits in History, including History 201 (United States, 1492-1877), and at least one course numbered 300 and above
2. have an overall GPA of at least a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
3. submit a 500-word essay on a topic of your choice that relates to the history of the United States, 1763-1801.
Selection and Notification: Decisions awarding assistance and determining the form and
amount of aid are made by the Merit and Scholarship Committee of the Department
of History after careful evaluation of all applications. All applicants will be
notified as soon as possible of the Committee’s decision(s).
