Free Community Events at Durham Ferry Outdoor Education Center in 2026-2027
Join us for a day of nature, fun, and community at Durham Ferry Outdoor Education Center. We invite you and your family to our free, family-friendly events (dogs on leash welcome!) where you can enjoy creative, hands-on activities and a 3-mile hike (guided hike typically departs pavilion at 10:30am) to the San Joaquin River to explore the local riparian ecosystem. These days are designed to elevate your weekend; encouraging physical activity amidst nature's beauty, fostering new friendships, and providing a rejuvenating experience in the great outdoors.

Please note: wear layers, comfortable shoes. Please bring a refillable water bottle,  any snacks & picnic lunch.

Once you enter the driveway, follow signs and continue STRAIGHT into the property and turn right at the ROUNDABOUT (Do not turn right or left at buildings before the ROUNDABOUT). Group will be gathered at Pavilion marked #2 on DF Map. Please park in roundabout marked #1.  Additionally parking on roadside just beyond roundabout marked #3. Please take a photo of DF Map on your cell phone to have on hand. If lost, please call Katie at (925) 494-8567
