Descriptions of Volunteering
Stewardship - Do you like getting your hands dirty? Do you want to make a direct impact on developing and maintaining our climbing areas? Stewardship may include building new trails, maintaining existing trails, cleaning an area, etc.
Tabling Events/Fundraising - Do you want to represent WMCC within your local community? Tabling events may include going to a WMCC property, to a gym, retailer, or an event. You will be there representing WMCC and interacting with the community to help spread the word about WMCC, who we are, what we do. This role may also include accepting new members, accepting donations, and selling items such as t-shirts to raise money for WMCC.
Social Justice (Committee) - Do you want to work towards fostering an environment where everyone has a voice? This work will involve partnering and working closely with WMCC 's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee to help drive change across our organization and within our communities.
Social Media (Committee) - Do you want to help amplify our voice? These volunteers will work closely with our social media committee to help WMCC reach a wider audience.
Specialized Skill - Are you an artist or photographer? Are you a biologist, geologist, or lawyer? Do you have experience writing grants? If you have a specialized skill that you think can benefit WMCC and are willing to donate some of your time and expertise to WMCC, please let us know!
