Here at Mainspring, we strive to provide a safe and properly supervised work environment that minimizes risks of injury and property damage to you, our staff, and third parties. Regardless, volunteer activities include certain inherent risks. Please carefully read the following:

I understand and agree as follows:
-Mainspring will be responsible for the negligent conduct of its offers, agents, and employees acting within the course and scope of employment or service to Mainspring.
-I am not an employee of Mainspring, and I will receive no compensation or other employment-related benefits from Mainspring.
-I am at least 18 years of age, or will have a guardian present during volunteering.
-I will follow the instructions of the Mainspring supervisor.
-All Mainspring volunteer work is drug- and alcohol-free and I will abide by this policy.
-Prior to the start of the volunteer activity, I will receive an orientation and safety talk for the activities I will be involved in and their associated risks.
-I will strive to bring and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as recommended by the Mainspring supervisor.
-If I bring and use my own personal tools, equipment and PPE, Mainspring cannot assume responsibility for theft, loss, or damage of such items or other personal property of the Volunteer.
-I may also use tools, equipment, and PPE provided by Mainspring. I agree that I will take care of such items assigned to me, and will return them to Mainspring.
-My participation in this work may involve sustained strenuous physical activity.
-I am in good health and I am aware of no physical problem or condition which will limit or interfere with my ability to participate as a volunteer.
-I will inform Mainspring supervisors of any allergies or other medical conditions that may be relevant to my safety and well-being. I understand that medical attention may not be readily available during volunteer activities. 
-Volunteer activities may involve dangerous activities or situations. I agree that I am participating at my own risk, and acknowledge that Mainspring has made no warranty or representation, express or implied, regarding the safety of conducting this work.
-I do not have to participate in any activity that I do not feel comfortable performing, and that it is my responsibility to inform Mainspring if I feel uncomfortable performing a particular task.

Biomonitoring Risks:
-As a Biomonitoring volunteer, you may encounter stinging insects, venomous snakes, slippery and uneven surfaces, and risk of electrical shock.
