Every year, the grand master-elect appoints members to Grand Lodge boards and committees according to the provisions of our Code. Committee members are charged with specific responsibilities that help advance the fraternity and its various operations and institutions.
Our fraternity’s success is determined by the strength of its leadership, and we welcome new faces and fresh ideas to the table as we strive to seize opportunities and meet the challenges of the coming years. This year, brethren who want to serve the craft in this way can express their interest and submit their qualifications for committee service through this application.
Committee service is open only to Master Masons who are members in good standing of the Grand Lodge of North Carolina AF&AM.
Committee work may include meetings in various parts of the state as well as conference calls and videoconferences. **Accepting an appointment is accepting responsibility to participate in the work of the committee.** Please apply only if your schedule allows you the flexibility of participating as may be required.
Submitting an application is not a prerequisite for appointment and does not guarantee an appointment.
Committee appointments for 2019 will be announced at the conclusion of the annual communication in September. Successful applicants will be notified by August 1st, 2018.
Members of Boards and Committees not listed below have already been identified by the Deputy Grand Master in preparation of his potential election in September.
Follow these instructions to apply:
Review the Code (https://www.grandlodge-nc.org/center-for-members/themasonicCode) to understand the mission of each board and committee. Make your selection(s) according to your talents and interests. Individual boards and committees may have unique membership requirements – for example, some are open only to past masters – and these are stated in the Code.
Submit a **separate application** for each committee that interests you.
Review your application before submitting. Every field must be completed, and incomplete or late applications will not be reviewed.
Applications will open on May 1 and must be submitted by midnight on May 31.
You may also submit a resume or cover letter if so desired. Please email said documents to email@example.com
If you have any questions, you may contact Mack Sigmon at firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you for your interest and dedication to our fraternity.
