Upon completion of a workshop, training session or online course funded by the NSSAL Professional Development Fund, participants are required to complete a Learning Narrative. This encourages participants to make sense of what they have learned and position the learning within the context of their roles in the NSSAL system. Participants may fill out this form or submit the information in an alternative format (e.g. in an email, video note, slide presentation, or alternate document).
The data collected through the Learning Narrative serves the following purposes:
• Provides participants with an opportunity to reflect on what they have learned and identify applications to their, or to their colleagues’, roles within the NSSAL system.
• Creates a database of Professional Development opportunities.
• Provides information to colleagues seeking professional development on the perceived value and relevance of existing professional development opportunities
• Provides the Adult Education Division with data to identify future system-wide professional development opportunities, and potential keynote speakers and/or workshop facilitators
