On Line Session Registration
We have a different live session each day of our event. Please let us know which sessions you plan on attending, so we can better plan these events.
Monday, Nov. 9th, 12-1 pm - Live Panel Discussion on a Research Pipeline
"Building Research Pipelines Spanning Multiple Cores" by Flow Cytometry (host) with Genome Editing, DNA Sequencing and Gene Expression cores and Shanmuganayagam lab. Join a panel of Core Staff and Core Customers to discuss identifying the need and establishing connections between cores and researchers to create a successful research pipeline. This panel will feature members of the Flow Cytometry Lab, Gene Expression Core, DNA Sequencing Facility and Genome Editing and Animal Models Core as well as a researcher using one of our established pipelines to isolate cells for single cell genomics.
Tuesday, Nov. 10th, 10-11 am - Live Invited Research Talk
"Genome-edited swine models to study disease and build models for therapeutics" by Dr. Dhanansayan Shanmuganayagam, hosted by Dr. Dustin Rubinstein of the Genome Editing and Animal Models Core  The talk will provide two examples of how genetic engineering of swine was utilized, one, for the study of a genetic disorder in children called Neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) and second, for exploring a solution to tackle the donor organ shortage crisis in the area of human transplantation.
Wednesday, Nov. 11th, 4-5pm - Live Webinar by Team Science
"Leading Breakthrough Science Teams" by Team Science.  As the size and scope of collaborative research grows, research teams are increasingly looking for support in leading high-impact, breakthrough teams. UW-ICTR is developing tools and resources to provide that support for both faculty and staff who lead scientific teams. We will discuss the challenges of leading scientific teams, then discuss one evidence-based approach to addressing those challenges: Collaboration Planning, an interactive process designed to help teams work through the mechanics of how the group will collaborate, including preemptively addressing many of the challenges of conducting team-science research through transparency, shared governance, and shared decision-making.
Thursday, Nov. 12th, 10-11 am - Live Webinar by Small Animal Imaging and Radiotherapy Facility
"SPECT/CT: What our newest addition can add to your research" by Small Animal Imaging & Radiotherapy Facility (SAIRF) with Industry Partner MILabs.  We will introduce you to our new SPECT/CT imaging system, including an overview of instrument specs and operations, and how this technology can enhance your research in animal models.
Friday, Nov. 13th, 12-1 pm - Live Networking Reception on Zoom with Research Services and Industry Partners
Participants have the opportunity to go to multiple breakout rooms of clustered services and industry partners.
