We aims to provide creative and challenging play opportunities within an inclusive, emotionally and physically safe play

Children attend Speke Adventure Playground, which is an Open Access facility; this means that young people are free to come and go as they choose, during opening hours.  Speke Adventure Playground provides services for all children but they will for our purposes be split into two categories:

- Infant Registration (Under 8's)
- Standard Registration (Age 8 and over)

Speke Adventure Playground is a funded by third parties and to date remains part of the Liverpool Youth Service funded  through Liverpool City Council.  We are also listed on the Ofsted Voluntary register as an Open Access provider for children of 6 and above.  Any comments (positive  or  negative) or complaints may be addressed via the charity or through OFSTED Piccadilly Gate, Store Street, Manchester,M1 2WD (Tel 0300 123 1231)

Please be aware that we operate a Behavioural Boundaries framework, based on “no one may do anything , which will  harm themselves or others”.  Through the application of this, we aim to ensure an emotionally safe and supportive environment for all users of the Project.

Speke Adventure Playground believes the well-being of the child to be paramount, to promote this and to safeguard everyone on the project,  all work is underpinned by a range of policies, with Safeguarding, Health and Safety Inclusion  and Equality of Opportunity at the core.

At the facility camera/video phones are not permitted, this follows OFSTED  guidelines and is an integral part of our Safeguarding Policy.  Speke Adventure Playground seeks to enable  children to extend their personal  boundaries  and  to  promote  their  self  development by offering an acceptable level of risk.

The Project will seek to manage the level of risk so that children are not exposed to unacceptable risks which may cause lasting harm or serious/fatal injury.

Further information on the Project and its work can be obtained by contacting the Centre Manager on 0151 538 3096, especially if you would like to discuss any part of this form.
