Call for submissions to the FIMFF Screenwriting Lab 2019

FIMFF announces its first-ever screenwriting lab to be hosted this year by Icelandic filmmaker, Ísold Uggadóttir, writer and director of the Sundance Award-winning feature film And Breathe Normally who last year received the FIMFF Best Narrative Feature Award.
The screenwriting lab will take place October 10th, beginning with a two hour lecture on the process of screenwriting, followed by round tables in the afternoon, and one-one meetings with upcoming screenwriters working on their feature scripts.
The lecture will offer insight into Ísold’s process of writing the screenplay for her feature film And Breathe Normally, as well as discussing the creative screenwriting process in general terms.
The script lab is in two parts:
09:30-12:00 Open lecture (150,- kr)
12:45-18:00 Round tables and one-on-one (500,- kr incl. lecture, lunch and festival pass)
Elegibilty for round tables and one-on-one:
Upcoming Faroese screenwriters developing their first or second narrative feature film. Seeking unique and independent voices aiming to create authentic, quality work.
How to apply: Applicants must submit the following materials for consideration:
1. A cover letter introducing yourself, as well as your previous work and experience in film. Letter may include thoughts on what you hope to gain from attending the lab.
2. Curriculum Vitae
3. A logline and synopsis for the film you are currently writing.
4. Project status and history, including any relevant development history, awards received or labs and/or markets attended with the project, as well as any other relevant information. (Not a requirement unless relevant)
