Community survey for 510 W Lake St
Whittier Alliance has been approached by a developer seeking to complete a three-phased development project between Harriet and Garfield on the North Side of Lake St. Phase 1 is approved and construction has begun. We are seeking community feedback on the proposals for Phases 2 and 3, including suggestions and concerns. We expect the city will evaluate the next two phases independently.

The survey below looks at each of the proposed buildings in turn. There is an overview of each building before the survey questions.
Phase 2 survey questions
Project overview:

6 story, 111-unit building built with tax credits to be a mixed-income affordable housing development with restricted rent and income levels. There is a minimum of 30-year commitment on the affordability. There will be one retail space on the ground floor.

Mix of units: 3% townhome, 14% studio, 57% 1-bed, and 26% 2-bed apartments.

Rent levels (vary by income):
- Studios: $525 to $875/month
- 1-bedroom: $562 to $1,499/month
- 2-bedroom: $1,125 to $1,800/month

- 2-bedroom: $2,550
