North Carolina Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Application Chowan-Gates-Perquimans County
ABOUT
The N.C. Extension Master Gardener program is an educational program designed to enhance public education in consumer horticulture. It provides educational assistance to the citizens of the county concerning lawns, fruits, vegetables, trees, and ornamentals.

Under the guidance and direction of Extension agents, volunteers complete a 40-hour training program, pass an examination, and complete at least a 40-hour internship. To remain active in the program volunteers must log a minimum of 20 hours of volunteer time and a minimum of 12 hours of continuing education each year.

PROGRAM DETAILS
The Fall 2017 training begins Tuesday, September 19th and continues every Tuesday from 3pm to 6pm through December 12th at the Chowan County Agriculture Center - 730 N Granville St, Edenton. The cost is $85 (printed manual included) or $45 (online manual only). Applications are accepted on a first come, first served basis - space is limited.
