We are so happy you are interested in becoming a PTO Officer!
We would love to add these new officer roles and grow our current events, programs, and activities for the benefit of the ACA community.
Here are the officer positions we have available for the 2025/2026 school year. Each term is 2 years.
President Elect responsibilities include:
-Attend officer meetings
-Attend public PTO meetings
-Assist the president with duties, as needed
-Serve as member of membership, and fundraiser/finance committees
-Perform as the president in the event that the president is absent or temporarily unable to execute the duties of the office
VP of Fundraising responsibilities include:
-Attend officer meetings
-Attend public PTO meetings
-Reach out to businesses to ask for donations on behalf of ACA PTO's nonprofit.
(examples include special event items, prizes, food, and sponsorships).
-Oversee the BottleDrop fundraising program at ACA
-Work with PTO officers to plan and track fundraisers, such as the holiday bazaar and book fair.
-Send follow up thank you letters to businesses with our tax ID information

(FILLED) Treasurer responsibilities include:
-Attend officer meetings
-Attend public PTO meetings
-Serve as custodian of all the funds
-Propose and work with the president on annual budget
-Report the financial status in meetings
-Prepare and file taxes
-Prepare accounts for audit annually
-Make deposits and withdrawals (this amounts to about 2 hours per week, in person)
(FILLED) Secretary responsibilities include:
-Attend officer meetings
-Attend public PTO meetings
-Record and maintain the minutes of all meetings
-Send a notice of meetings to all members (on social media or parent square)
-Organize and maintain documents in PTO drive
(FILLED) Volunteer Coordinator responsibilities include:
-Attend officer meetings
-Attend public PTO meetings
-Send emails regarding volunteer opportunities
-Assist the secretary in keeping volunteer information updated
-Coordinate volunteers for events & fundraisers, including creating a Signup Genius when relevant
-Attend orientation events to inform new parents about the PTO
-Be an ambassador of the PTO to other parents
(FILLED) VP of Communications responsibilities include:
-Attend officer meetings
-Attend public PTO meetings
-Create and send out a monthly newsletter
-Promote events (create flyers on Canva)
-Maintain the Facebook and Instagram accounts
-Work with the volunteer coordinate to create Signup Genius pages when needed
-Send emails via Parent Square when needed.
-Maintain the PTO website
