Amplified.
Meet authors. Get free books. Make your voice heard.
Amplified is PEN/Faulkner's teen summer writing & reading group. In this seven-week workshop, join teens from across the city as we read essays and YA fiction about issues affecting teens: from gun violence to sexual harassment to missing black girls to identity and family. Participants will use art and writing to amplify their concerns around a topic of their choice, and will have the opportunity to meet authors writing about these issues. Snacks are provided. Amplified is FREE to DC students.
