Hiking Day! @Shenandoah National Park
Interested in spending a beautiful Fall day hiking one of many trails at Shenandoah National Park? Join us as we hike Little Devils Stairs in Piedmont, Virginia--only about an hour away from George Mason! This 6.3-mile loop begins with 2 miles of a steep incline followed by creeks and waterfalls ending with another steep walk down. This hike is rated moderate to strenuous. Water: Please bring plenty of water for this hike.
Bag packs: because there are some rocks to climb, a light bag pack or fanny pack is preferred. Big backpacks are not recommended.
Shoes: Closed-toe, good grip for rock climbing, and steady shoes are required. No vans, converse, flip flops, or sandals. Thanks!
Clothes: athletic clothing that will allow you to climb rocks, walk long distances, and keep a comfortable body temperature.
Food: bring snacks for the way if you'd like or an easy lunch.
Safety: This is our top priority. You must remain with the group at all times, stay in the marked trail, and follow the instructions of the facilitators. Jeopardizing your own safety and that of the group will not be tolerated.
Rides: everyone is required to wear a mask while inside the car and windows will be rolled down, weather permitting.
