Malta International Fireworks Festival: Photo Competition 2026 25th Anniversary
Capture the magic of Malta's spectacular pyrotechnic displays in this exciting photo competition! We're looking for stunning images that showcase our magnificent fireworks against Malta's iconic landmarks.

Two fantastic prizes are up for grabs:

Local Winner: €500 voucher

International Winner: Return flights to Malta (Economy Class) + 3-night hotel stay for two

Submit 12 photos (three per category) that best capture the beauty and energy of the 2026 Malta International Fireworks Festival. Whether you've got a knack for epic fireworks, artistic long exposures, or capturing the joy of the crowds—we want to see Malta's fireworks festival through your lens!

  • Epic Fireworks Moments: Photos showcasing the grandeur of the pyrotechnic displays against Malta's night sky. This includes bursts, patterns, and sequences that highlight the scale and beauty of the displays.
  • Long Exposure Shots: Images that creatively capture light effects through technical skill.
  • Crowd Reactions: Candid shots that reflect the excitement and emotions of the audience experiencing the festival. These images should capture authentic moments of wonder, joy, or amazement.
  • Unique Perspectives: Creative and artistic interpretations that offer a fresh take on the festival.

Photo Submission Deadline

All photos and applications must be submitted by Thursday, 7th May

Photo Submission Instructions

Please upload your photos (12 – i.e. three per category) to Dropbox or Google Drive and share a single link that provides access to all images.
A panel of judges will then narrow down the selection to 4 photos in total (i.e. one er category) which they deem to be best suited for the competition purposes.
Finally, the same panel of judges will choose two overall winners (one Local and one International)
Winners will be informed by Friday 29th May via email and Social Media, where the winning photos will be uploaded.

Ensure your shared folder or link has public viewing permissions enabled
Name your files clearly with your name and the category (Example: JohnSmith_EpicFireworks.jpg)
Make sure all photos meet the technical requirements specified in the Terms and Conditions
