Costa Rica Corps English Teacher Support Pathway: Virtual Volunteer Application
The Costa Rica Corps is a virtual volunteering initiative that seeks to connect people who love Costa Rica with organizations and individuals who need their help (read more at In this pathway, developed in coordination with support from the Peace Corps, volunteers will be paired with a public school English teacher who needs support during this challenging time for educators. Following orientation from the incredible teacher trainers at our partner organization, the Centro Espiral Mana, volunteers will meet weekly with teachers for English conversation, cultural exchange and discussions of classroom challenges. English proficiency is a must; teaching background a plus.

Volunteers will commit 12 weeks (the first round will take place from Jan. 25-April 9, 2021, including one week of orientation and one week of wrapup/feedback), with a maximum commitment of 5 hours per week. Volunteers will receive a manual and resource guide, and an orientation session via Zoom. Volunteers will also have weekly access to support to ensure they have a successful experience.
