SASE RIG (Research Interest Group) Mentor Application 🔬🧪💻
Hello! Thank you for your interest in becoming a SASE RIG Mentor!

SASE RIG is one of our many involvement programs here at our UTA chapter. This program will give members basic experience in research, allow more opportunities to connect with professors, and be with other SASE members in similar majors. RIG consists of year-long projects that will begin in the Fall 2026 semester. These projects are geared toward undergraduate students looking for research experience. However, members of all majors, classifications, and skill levels are welcome to apply. 

As a mentor, you will be responsible for leading your group through the project with weekly/biweekly meetings and keeping the science chairs (Chris and Dione) updated on your progress. 

The group you lead will gather data throughout the fall and spring semester to present at our end of year banquet!

  • You MUST be a PAID member (OR PLAN TO BE) in order to participate. (If you are currently not a paid member, please contact us at uta@saseconnect.org or DM on Instagram @uta.sase for more information)
