AAT-C Scholarship Application - 2020
Sydney Zaleski was a bright, eager student who excelled in the Animal Assisted Therapy Certificate program. Her love of animals led to her to pursue this certificate while completing a degree in psychology at OU. Sydney embodied the true spirit of an Animal Assisted Intervention Specialist and to honor her, the Sydney Zaleski Memorial Award was created. This award would provide $1,500 to a student in the Animal Assisted Therapy Certificate Program at Oakland University each year, beginning 2019. With Sydney’s interest in exploring the possibilities associated with AAT and the desire to help those in need, this award will benefit one student who also wishes to explore the area of AAT who has a financial need.
For a student to be eligible for the award, s/he must be accepted into the Animal Assisted Therapy Certificate Program at Oakland University and complete all 5 modules of the program. The application deadline for the 2020 cohort is August 10, 2020 at 5pm (EST).
