PSSS Seabird ID quiz
Thank you for participating in the Puget Sound Seabird Survey, a community science program dedicated to documenting marine birds along nearshore habitat throughout Puget Sound. This quiz is meant to provide Seattle Audubon with a standardized way to learn more about everyone's identification skills, and will aid us in putting together survey teams. Although this may not accurately reflect your true birding prowess, it is a helpful way for us to learn more about your familiarity with identifying seabirds. There are 15 questions, and should take you no more than about 10 minutes.

In order for us to accurately assess your own identification ability to create balanced teams, please do not use any external materials (including books and internet resources) when taking the quiz. Thank you!

When identifying the birds in the following pages, please provide the bird's full English name and not just "Loon species". Four-letter AOU banding codes (e.g., BAEA for Bald Eagle) are accepted as well. If you have any questions, please email Jenn Lang at jenniferl@seattleaudubon.org. Thank you!
