General helpful tips to get to a polish
  • Get a sharpie and an oil pencil. The sharpie will be for all the silicone carbide and diamond on metal tools. The oil pencil will be for any resin held grits and felt tools. Marking all the areas that you plan on grinding between each step to know you hit every area you intend to.

  • Make sure to rinse your tools and your piece between each grit to ensure that you are not contaminating either and adding scratches that are much deeper than you intended to.

  • Spend more time on each grit then you may think to allow all previous deeper scratches to be taken out. Recommend adding 5 mins on the machine after you think you have gotten everywhere.
