Judy Cirullo Award for Exceptional Contribution to the Area of Aquatic Therapy
This award is presented to a section member who consistently promotes aquatic physical therapy through service and or clinical practice. The recipient should be actively in conducting excellent clinical programs, providing service to the association and serving as patient advocates. The award acknowledges an individual member who has made outstanding and enduring contributions to promote aquatic physical therapy through service and or/clinical practice

Judy Cirullo, PT, Cert MDT, CMP is the owner of Oregon Spine and Physical Therapy. She graduated from University of Illinois Medical Center in 1979 with her degree in Physical Therapy. She has extensive training and experience in mechanical diagnosis techniques for the spine and extremities. She is credentialed in Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment (Cert MDT) (McKenzie) and is a Certified Mulligan Practitioner (CMP). She is founder and past president of the Aquatic Section of the American Physical Therapy Association. Her focus and expertise are mechanical problems relating to the spine and extremities. She has published two books, one book chapter: Aquatic Intervention for the Obstetric Female and has published various articles. She volunteers her time with 2 local high schools for their football and wrestling team injuries.
