It is the expectation that members of the marching band make rehearsals and competitions a priority in their schedule. Students must attend ALL rehearsals, camps, field trips, and performances. These include any playoff games and every event that has been scheduled and provided by the directors. *

I have read the schedule, and understand that attendance at every rehearsal is important to the success of the ensemble.

I understand that two (2) unexcused absences from rehearsal/camp days or one (1) unexcused absence from a performance will result in my dismissal from the group.

Examples of excused absences include: sickness or family emergencies

Examples of unexcused absences: work, social events, homework, etc

All requests for absences should be presented at least ten (10) days in advance to Mr. Kennedy via the Request for Excused Absence Form. Failure to do so will result in being benched for the performance following the absence.

The cost to join the DGS Marching Band is $500.00. I understand that this payment commits me to the Marching Band and is non-refundable.

This fee covers the custom design, music, drill, staff, and equipment that is needed each year. NO CASH will be accepted.

Checks should be made payable to: CSD 99 with DGS Band Boosters in the memo. Online payments are preferred through the D99 Webstore.

Those interested in exploring fee waivers, scholarship opportunities, or extended payment plans should reach out to Mr. Kennedy directly. Money will never be the reason someone cannot participate in marching band.
