Applications for the David Hershberg Scholarship are blind-reviewed. In the interest of helping us maintain the integrity of the evaluation process, EXCEPT WHERE ASKED, please DO NOT put your name and contact information in your answers (in SECTION 3).
1. Your OFFICIAL transcript(s) MUST mailed in directly by all the relevant colleges and universities.
2. You must have two (2) recommendation forms sent to the WAC by the persons completing the form.
- Please send the recommendation form link (located at the end of this section) to the people you are asking to complete it on your behalf.
3. Note: The WAC will redact your name and contact information from supplemental materials before adding them to your application file.

***This scholarship ONLY funds in-person study abroad programs. If for any reason the project cannot be completed due to factors beyond your control (ie. pandemic), you may request to have your funds postponed and used at a later date.***
The committee looks for creative--and, ideally, individualized--programs that can make a positive contribution to society and that are consistent with your academic program and career path. Applicants proposing to take only a set course will receive a lower priority. The scholarship committee is looking for creativity, and the potential for both immediate and future impact.
