CO-LABS network tour of High Precision Devices and QalibreMD in Boulder, CO.

We'll tour and see some of the latest projects in development by High Precision Devices, a globally-renowned advanced manufacturer of equipment such as ADR cryostats for use in research, complex optical systems for use in research on laser spectroscopy and interferometry, optical mount design, ultra high vacuum chamber design, embedded electronic control systems and much more.

HPD's TECHNICAL ASSEMBLY CAPABILITIES:
 Ultrasonic cleaning
 Laminar flow assembly bench
 Helium mass-spectrometer leak detector
 Welding (including UHV) available
 UHV equipment including RGA
 Lindberg heat-treating furnace
 Precision soldering, brazing, spot welding
 Electronic assembly equipment

This tour also includes their subsidiary QalibreMD, which produces quantitative MRI (qMRI) phantoms, developed in collaboration with a variety of institutions, including the National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST). They were a CO-LABS Governor's Awards for High Impact Research winner for this collaboration.

HOD were recently named as the Boulder Chamber of Commerce Entrepreneur of the Year; and they were awarded a National Science Foundation (NSF) Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant for $225,000 to conduct research and development (R&D) work on a human head mimic phantom to standardize neurostimulation therapies, such as transcranial magnetics stimulation (TMS) and transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS).
