Student Schedule Change Request Policy
Students are encouraged to think through the real reason behind the request for a class change. The majority of our classes are at capacity. Schedule change requests will only be considered for limited reasons. Priority is given to students who have a scheduling issue:
a period without an assigned class
more than one class in any given period
scheduled for the wrong class level
elective change
It is Martin Murphy's school policy to NOT make preference-based schedule changes. Reasons why a schedule will not be changed:
Once students submit the Schedule Change Request Form, they are expected to continue attending their classes as scheduled and completing their class assignments. Students will be notified once the decision has been made, whether it is accepted or denied. Please do not contact teachers, school counselors or administrators while you wait for a decision regarding this request.
