GOLES is looking to train local residents to lead two workshops about community. Resident trainees will develop their public speaking, meeting facilitation, and organizing skills, as well as deepen their understanding of the issues.
Program benefits include:
- Pay: a $1,000 stipend upon the completion of the program
- Support: assigned a Mentor to provide technical, logistical, and other support
- Training: receive 3 training sessions regarding the RAD/PACT, Infill, and healthy homes
- Experience: gain meeting facilitation, public speaking, planning, and leadership skills
Program requirements include:
- Dedicating approximately 30 hours from the launch of program through October 2021
- Participating in all three training sessions; August 24, 25, and 26, from 7pm - 8:30pm
- Meeting with Mentor at least 30 min weekly, or 1 hour bi-weekly for prep & planning
- Host two, 25+ person workshops by the end of October 2021
- Using email and access to the internet
- Participating virtually using online platforms like ‘Zoom’ and 'Google meet'
