The GirlLEAD Talent Accelerator is a nonprofit organisation in Nigeria is aimed at increasing the active
involvement of women and girls in leadership, social entrepreneurship and the technology sector. The organization was founded in November 2016. Since its inception, GirlLEAD has been focused on bridging the gender gap in leadership, science, information technology, and entrepreneurship through quality
education, training, mentorship, and career development opportunities.
The GirlLEAD Leadership Development Bootcamp (GLDB) is aimed at empowering 500 women and girls in Edo State, Nigeria with training on social entrepreneurship, active citizenship and leadership.
The GLDB is a two phase leadership bootcamp which is scheduled to hold for 12 months. The first two months will be a weekly training for 50 males and females between the ages of 22 - 30 years. These participants will be trained on these courses; active citizenship and leadership, social entrepreneurship. Upon completion of the program, ten of the trained participants will be recruited as peer tutors who will work closely with the programs officer to teach 500 girls in secondary schools and public universities in Edo State, spanning ten months.
After each bootcamp, participants who meet 80% attendance, completed coursework and community projects would be issued a certificate and paired with mentors who will shape them into active changemakers in youth leadership and nation-building.
This application form is for the first two months of the bootcamp.
